Asters acted as a legal adviser in the regular meeting of the Commission on Banking Technique and Practice of the Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Ukraine) that took place in Asters' office. At the meeting, the Commission considered translation and adaptation of the ICC Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantees (URDG 758) that came into force on 1st July 2010.

URDG 758 are the uniform rules for the documentary guarantees and one of the most important documents in international trade. Since April 2010, the Commission on Banking Technique and Practice has been working on translation and adaptation of the rules in view of their future legislative enactment in Ukraine. The Commission members include leading experts of the local banking and finance sector from Alfa-Bank Ukraine, BG Bank, Credit Agricole Corporate Investment Bank, OTP Bank, Raiffeisen Bank Aval, Swedbank Ukraine, UniCredit Bank, VAB Bank, VTB Bank etc.

Associates of Asters' banking and finance group Mykola Sorochinskiy and Ganna Poisner provided legal advice on adopting the English-Ukrainian translation of the uniform rules.
