Asters acts as a co-organizer of the seminar on improvement of legislation in the gas sector

On 23 February, 2016 the seminar "The first practical experience of application of the Gas Transportation System Code, the Underground Gas Storage Code, the Distribution System Code and other regulations adopted in support of the Law of Ukraine "On Natural Gas Market" took place in Kyiv. The event was held jointly by Kyiv Energy Research Institute (KERI), Asters law firm, Gas Traders of Ukraine Association and Subsoil Users of Ukraine Association.

The seminar was attended by the representatives of gas traders, upstream companies, distribution companies and major consumers of natural gas, the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine, PJSC "Ukrtransgaz" and the National Bank of Ukraine. Armen Khachaturyan, Senior Partner at Asters, acted as one of the moderators of the discussion on problematic issues of the gas industry.

The participants of the seminar established the working group on improvement of the legislation in the gas sector. Yaroslav Petrov, Asters' Counsel, was elected a secretary of this working group.
